Olive Oil and Oak Ash Soap

At the Sevilma Olive Grove, which holds the title of Turkey’s first certified Slow Food farm, we carry out our olive cultivation and seasonal farming activities in a truly agroecological spirit. Guided by the principle of “good, clean and fair food”, we have adopted a sustainable production model that preserves biodiversity, is free from chemical pesticides and fertilisers, and relies on living, fertile soil and clean water sources. By sharing the bounty of our orchard with wildlife, we continue to uphold the tradition of “for the wolf, the bird and the plant”.

Inspired by the purity of nature, we have produced this special soap using traditional methods with cold-pressed olive oil obtained from the Sevilma Ercan Baba Olive Oil Mill. The soap contains only oak ash and olive oil. No caustic soda, synthetic additives or preservatives are used whatsoever during the production process.

Sevilma Soaps are produced entirely by hand by Suna Kalaycı, one of the last masters of soap-making using oak ash. This simple formula, free from chemical additives, offers effective yet gentle cleansing. Thanks to its high olive oil content, it gently cleanses the skin whilst maintaining its moisture balance and leaving it feeling soft. It is a completely natural alternative that can be used safely by everyone, including children and those with sensitive skin.

With Sevilma’s production philosophy, which takes both nature and human health into account, we are bringing the healthy soap-making traditions of the past into the present day.
